What did Popeye see in Olive Oyl?
My god, the woman has absolutlely no redeeming qualities. She's so ugly that she only vaguely appears human, she's not all that nice or anything, and she will clearly drop Popeye at the drop of a hat!
How in the world did Popeye (or Bluto for that matter) ever fall for her?

i think that they cant find anyone else to love them, and she is such a flake and easily smitten, so they had no choice but to force to swoon over that ugly stick thing.
His name was Bruno not Bluto. All 3 of them were hit by the Ugly Stick so I think they are a match made in heaven.

I guess when you’ve been at sea for a long time any old port in a storm. I don’t recall there even being any other women in those comics and Bluto wasn’t Popeye’s type. At least she looked better in a dress than Bluto.
