I am thinking so, in the last 12 years, I can't think of any movies that Robin Williams has made for the Disney Company. And I will stand corrected if I am proveen wrong, that he has done another film for Disney in that time, that I am not thinking of. Flubber came out in 1997, and Old Dogs was just recently released. And I know that this is not his first ever film for Disney, since he did a voice role for Aladdin, and reprised the role for Aladdin and the King of thieves. And I know that Robin Williams has made a lot of movies, since he made his first film role in 1980's Popeye. But that is not my question. And since we are on the subject of Robin Williams, how many movies has he made since his first film role, and please exclude any direct to video releases. Like the 3rd Aladdin movie.
a Bugs Bunny movie similar to Cat in the Hat & The Gringe, Popeye portrayed by Michael Myers and Jim Carey and Robin Williams respectively. Even a movie like the Flinstones falls into that category of cartoons being brought to life in the big screen.
Which current Hollywood actor would be perfect to the Bugs Bunny role? Keep in mind his voice and his look .
Robin Williams was brilliant as Popeye, John Goodman was good as Fred Flinstone, and both Carey and Myers were both good in their own Dr Seus movies.
question was inspired by this article.http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/collections/gallery/2714/split-screen-cartoon-to-liveaction-movies#photo0
In the early 1980s director Robert Altman gave a live action Popeye movie. It starred Robin Williams as every bodies favorite spinach eating sailor. This was Robin Williams' very first movie role. It also featured Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl, Paul Smith as Bluto, Paul Dooley as Wimpy and Ray Walston as Poopdeck Pappy. That was then, what about now? Who do you think would be good casting choices in a big screen remake to bring Popeye and his world back to life again?
Excluding any TV movies (if any), and any movies that were direct to video or dvd, how many movies that Robin Williams have been in? I know that over the year he has been in a lot of movies, and all starting with Popeye. So I am looking for his movies that he has been in that went to theaters, or even started out in limited release. Please also give at least one source for the information that you know.
One of my friends noted to me this morning that my dog follows some very different kinds of commands. I never really thought about it before, but my dog knows commands like -
Knock it off/can it/don't make me have to kill you - meaning stop what you're doing right now
chill/Chill out/chillax - some people use "settle" but my dog will certainly chillax when told lol.
Have some wa wa - get a drink lol.
Haul a$$ - this one is actually from the Popeye movie with Robin Williams (those that have seen it will know what I'm talking about). Haul a$$, Haul a$$!!! and it means, get out of my way.
What sort of funny things does your dog know?
Mine were:
'Popeye' with Robin Williams
'Eye Candy' with I don't know who
'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' with Steve Martin
and some B horror movies
Plot involves 2 characters similar to popeye and bluto. Slapstick lots of fighting, possibly foreign film. Both characters are either longshoreman or sailors. The skinny guy (popeye) even kind of wears a hat like popeye does. The Bluto chracter looks like the actor who played bluto on the Robin Williams version of Popeye movie.
I'll go with Robin Williams
Best: Good Morning Vietnam
Worst: Popeye
Lets see yours.
I was watching t.v. the other day when I came across the 1980 movie of Popeye with Robin Williams. In one of the parts there were some cooks getting ready and running back and forth. If my eyes don't deceive me I think one of the runners was a very young Cheri Oteri. I think she had two buckets in her hands. Can anyone confirm my suspicion?
Does anyone know where the movie Popeye was filmed? This is the one that starred Robin Williams as Popeye and Shelly Duvall as Olive Oyl. Thanks for all answers.
