are......"Peep in the Deep" and "Spree Lunch." The very idea is dishonest and just not right. They have taken pains to mimic the look of the 1950's Popeye cartoons. Then they sneak a couple of these counterfeits in with the real Popeye cartoons. These counterfeits are horrible. They're Frankensteins. And heaven knows .....if they've already got the original Mona Lisa on the museum wall, nobody wants them to hang a cheap vile imitation right next to it. Your thoughts on the matter?

How do I find out the names of some of the songs played during the Popeye cartoons?

You can choose between these famous people and cartoon characters, but if you have any better suggestions, feel free to add them. I've put some extra info in brackets, just in case you don't know who some of them are.
1: Olive Oyl (from the popeye cartoons)
2: Janet Street-Porter (journalist)
3: Tweety Pie (WB cartoon character)
4: David Beckham (footballer)
5: Ashley Peacock (from coronation street)
6: Eric Cartman (South Park cartoons)

I would like to know the name and a website for the magic, disappearing little dog that was on the Popeye cartoons I think. It’s a cute little dog that would disappear and reappear. it's from and old cartoon from the 50's maybe. I'm not exactly sure which cartoon it was in.

I recall seeing Popeye sniff garlic when he didn't have spinach to eat. Does anyone recall seeing this in the old popeye cartoons?

J Wellington Wimpy on the Popeye cartoons

Is it possible that the terrorists saw some Popeye cartoons, and therefore thought that spinnach is what gives Americans strenght, and did something to cause problems with spinnach?

Was there another cartoon that had someone eat spinach for super strength?

I am not referring to another character of Popeye cartoons. I am referring to any cartoon not Popeye related.
I swear, there is a cartoon out there that has spinach eating for strength in it. I don't remember the name of it but I know there is one.

I'd like to buy them as a holiday gift for my GF. I used to see them on TV (I forgot what channel...some cable channel) back when I was a kid. They're the ones that are really old, like from the 1930s when they were all in black and white and each frame was drawn separately by hand. What a lost art! I think they were done by the Fleisher (sp?) studios. The same that did the original Popeye cartoons.

Thanks for any help!

what was your favorite part? mine was when he showed Popeye cartoons.

I just watched a few Popeye cartoons, and I just don't get it.

Miss Oyl is gangly, awkward, has hideous black hair pulled back in an unappealing bun, is possessed of an annoyingly grating voice, and has nothing remotely curvaceous about her figure.

So why are Popeye and Bluto always fighting for her attentions? Is she the last woman on earth. Is she filthy rich? Or are both men gay, and they want Olive merely to get at her hunky loose-moraled brother Crisco Oyl?

Am I the only person to notice there were no blacks or people of color in any Popeye cartoons?

I've looked everywhere and cannot find any places that sell videos of old Popeye cartoons with Goon Island, I know there were not that many episodes of it, but still!....I want 'em! Ideas, anyone? Thanks!
