I think the girl is kind of homely and boring. she reminds me of Olive Oil from the Popeye Cartoon.I can't understand why they would have put her and JR together.he needs someone who is not timed and good looking she is far from it.

Ok, remember Popeye the Sailor man when we were kids. Would you consider him a super hero? I think he is because when he eats spinach he has super powers. What do you think? Does anybody remeber the old cartoons of Donald Duck where he had three "nephwes", Huey, duey, and luey? I remeber he had Daisy his girl friend babysit sometimes, but they mostley stayed with him, where did they come from? Where is this "brother" or "sister" The nephwes came from? or where they Daisey's brother or sisters? Also, if Goofey is a dog, (wich I am guessing he is), how come Pluto (mickey mouses dog) can't stand and talk either? Also do you remeber the cartoon Poeype? He had a baby named "sweet pea" whose was that? Every one watched him, and bluto, still tryed to get Olive oil, and poeypye still tryed to date her too, (what a slut) and the baby was seen bounceing back and forth, weird...
was watching the documentary in his first dvd collection and they said he was the very first and even before superman, which is true. Now granted he usually just saved olive oil is he still considered by most to be the first animated superhero? Or at least hero...

I'm looking for a movie. It has the woman that plays on The Shining and as olive oil in popeye. In this particular movie. I think her husband was abusing her, and in a certain screen she was taking a swim in a pond and an alligator was in it and she didn't know about it, but her husband saw it, and when she did notice it she was so terrified and all he did was take pictures of her being scared.

I heard bits and pieces about the famous "Popeye" cartoon being based on a time when America was fighting with another country over olive oil, and the only we could defend ourselves is if we stacked up our money and bought whatever we needed to defend ourselves. In the cartoon, Popeye (America) was at a constant tug of war with Bluto (the other country) in order to win over the heart of Olive Oyl. He defended himself by eating a can of spinach and gaining strength (power).
I have absolutely no idea if this story is true. But i've heard it more than once. I forgot the name of the "other country" by the way. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Now that all the spinach is bad how will Popeye keep his strength. Rumors have it that he cut off Olive Oil to keep his strength. Is it true??
