In cartoon movie (POPEYE, Casper), baby (infant) send by pelicans. Why?

I'm Indonesian. When watching cartoon movies such as POPEYE, Casper, etc, baby always send by pelicans. Why? Can someone explain? Is that a myth? Thx b4.

movie character themed party, who to go as?

well my is having her 16th in a few weeks and she has chosen the theme as movie characters. my mate has already shotgunned rambo (my first idea grr!) and i had also though of popeye (as i do sail lol) but any other jokey/ funny ideas as people to go as? thanks everyone :)

Do you guys miss bug bunny daffy and popeye? They aren't on my cable or on my friends satellite. Anyone check out the cartoon network, looks like a bunch of bad comic strips?? Was bugs really that bad or violent? We need an acme channel just for the road runner! LOL

I have a lot of muscle on me!!!! I have had a boy tell me that my arms look like Popeye :) LOL! I am a gymnast and work out very hard. Im kinda on the largerish side, but do you think its cause of my muscle???
Not nessecarily flabby, but my butt could use some toning!!! lol

It was SUCH a long time ago, but have you seen that movie they showed us in health class in preschool? It has that white kid who wants to start smoking and famous cartoon characters come in to convince him not to start? Like the smurfs, alf (REMEMBER ALF? LOL)... etc. (probably made in the 80's or 90's)
