Whats a good recipe for classic southern gumbo. This canned stuff is making me sick. Popeye's is pretty good but what about home-made?

Finally, a question right up my alley… I promise you, THIS will not make you sick…and you will never leave GUMBO land again,
Get a gumbo pot, BIG POT, ours are 20 quarts. Fill half way with water.
Start cutting up lots of onions and saute them in olive oil. Put them in pot. Cut lots of bells and put them in the pot. Saute Okra, put them in the pot. Make the Roux… put it in the pot. Put Cajun seasoning in the pot. Chop Parsely and put it in the pot. Add Shrimp, or chicken, or sausage to the pot. Garlic(chopped)
Remember gumbo is just a soup.
