(Popeye the Sailor Man) Did you find it odd…..?
...that on Popeye the Sailor man, Popeye and Bluto were always fighting. Popeye would always be losing until he ate spinach and then he would start winning.
My question is how was Popeye strong enough to squeeze a metal can open and shoot the spinach 20 feet in the air, but he couldnt beat up Bluto.
Bluto was just that tough. Popeye was even tougher but he needed his spinach to give him the added strength to overcome the unbelievably tough Bluto. That and the fact that it was a cartoon.
Something always helped him open the can of Spinach…..at least I think that’s how it worked.
I swear that cartoon gave me nightmares when I was little! First of all he eats spinach and Bluto looks like a freakin child molester, not to mention Popeye, and what’s the name Popeye mean anyway?!? The whole thing freaked me out!
