		<description>I don't think so.  Wikepedia says that her brother's name is Castor, and her mother's name is Nana (Banana), so I think it was just a cute play on words, and had nothing to do with her heritage. As far as Brutus go, remember he was originally Bluto.  His character's name was changed when King Features had purchased the rights for Popeye from Paramount Studios, back in the late 50's-early 60's.</description>
