There was a recent question asking what cartoon character's name you'd use for your son. Rightfully so, someone pointed out that doing so would be pretty bad.

Now, knowing how many goofy names are used in cartoonland what would be good names for housepets? Please name the series/movie.

one large dog:
male: George (of the Jungle)
female: Velma (Scooby-doo)

one small dog: Boo Boo (Yogi Bear & Boo Boo Bear) (regardless of gender)

a pair of small dogs:
male: Edgar & Chauncy (observers of life on Rocky & Bullwinkle)
female: Lambchop & Patty (Sherri Lewis' hand puppet & Peppermint Patty)

one cat:
male: Rafiki (The Lion King)
female: Betty (Betty Boop)

I need some really cool ideas for a halloween costume!!! I need like a hot costume. nothing stupid like a cat or something i need somthing 2 ppl can be together but not like cartoon characters or tv characters!! if u could help that would be awesome.

I go to a high school where dress code is enforced and guys are required to wear formal (dress shirt, tie, shoes, etc) but i still wanna be someone for halloween. any ideas who i can be?

I need to dress up as someone from tv or it can be:
a movie star
a singer
a cartoon character
just someone from tv...
can you give me some ideas on what I can be that doesn't require going to a place like Party City...something that can be made with stuff that perhaps I have or just buy really fast. Oh and it's for school so nothing too revealing

I was really interested in cartoon characters, or just characters in general. And preferably costumes that can be made "sexy". Preferably not something like "nurse and patient" or "witch and warlock", because I'm looking for classic characters specifically.

And don't say Alice and the mad hatter, because my best friend and her boyfriend are doing that one and we'll be at the same party.

Candy Cigarretes:
I’m not going to get into the stupid “candy cigarettes encourage kids to smoke,” argument, because it’s utter nonsense. If anything, all it teaches kids is to settle for ass crack quality candy. These sticks come in a variety of boxes, but for some reason the most common ones around Halloween come in a Popeye box. A cartoon character that hasn’t been relevant for decades, used to promote a wretched candy. That is one hell of a recipe for success. Another problem with candy cigarettes is that they stole the glory from the better faux cigarette, cigarette gum. They had the paper wrapper, and when you blew through them, a puff of “smoke” would come out. They were amazing.
Necco Wafers:
These are known the world over as being disgusting.
I do recommend keeping a small pack in your pocket. That way, when you are eating a good type of candy, such as a stick of Chewy Spree, and someone asks you for a piece, just slip a Necco Wafer out of your pocket & give it!

i'm going to a fancy dress for halloween. My friends and are are wondering whether we have to stick with the "halloween" theme...or can we go as other stuff? (like superheroes or cartoon characters)

It's an old paper-cut animation cartoon, possibly from the 80's or early 90's. The main character's name is Victoria and she moves to a new house with her mother father and twin brothers. There was a maid and the brothers tortured her dog.

The plot revolves around a ghost with Krusty the Clown hair who attempts to scare the family but fails (mostly due to the twins playing pranks on him). Eventually he reveals his story to Victoria-something about their wagon going off the river and them both drowning, but only he became a ghost.

I think the name went along the lines of "????? Manor". This old movie is big to my childhood and if my mother's old tape player hadn't eaten it back in 96, it'd be one of my treasured Halloween tapes.

ok. details might be a little vague but here goes. im trying to find a halloween cartoon movie thing that use to show on tv like in the 90's or something. i was like 8 or somthing. but it was about a boy who was sick (i think) and he was taken away by some character (i forgot) and he traveled places with that character. and i think the ending was when he came back and it was morning and his mom came in. i think his name was prolly tim or timmy. im not sure bout the name though. anyone know????

I think that I want to be a popular/famous cartoon character for halloween. Nothing from Spongebob please! Maybe a character from a popular video game or a character from tv or on a cereal box or something. I am pretty creative so I can do something a little more difficult but nothing too too hard. Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz are good but I'm talking about cartoon characters like mario and luigi or spongebob or someone from a movie or something..(not any of the examples I just said though)

I'm going to two Halloween parties, and I will be dressed as a male cartoon character (I'm female). I need some advice on how to act at each party. I'm attending the first party with my mum, and most of the guests will be older adults, and I'm going to the second party alone and most of the guests will be older teens and young adults.

I'd really like to act the part and try to pass as male, but I have large hips and thighs and I can't bind my (small) breasts because I'll be wearing a low-cut waistcoat, so I think most people would "read" me. Would it be better to just act normal and let everyone know immediately that I'm actually a girl, or try my best to pass (pack my pants, deepen my voice, wear shadow makeup) even though I'm not likely to succeed?

I'm not sure that anyone will know this. I don't know why I've been thinking of this lately, but there is a cartoon from my childhood I used to love that I want to find. It's animated in this spindly, overly-detailed style, but I can't recall the name. Circa 1985-6?
The plot, as I remember, is that there is a witch who stumbles across three children, dressed for Halloween as a monster, a ghost, and something else. She decides to grant them their Halloween wish and turn them into their costumes for real. Havoc ensued. I think it ends with the witch being confronted by the parents of all the children in town, She convinces them that she did what she did, not out of malice, but a love of Halloween. She encourages all the adults to remember their love of this season, and they eventually do. Then she grants them their Halloween wish, and turns all the adults into their favorite Halloween characters, including a Wolfman, Frankenstein, and more ghosts. Then they all party.

My son is 11 months old and halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, so of course I am trying to find a really awesome, unique, great quality, halloween costume for his first halloween. I dont want anything like the typical cartoon character, or like spiderman... I want something that the oridany family cant just go pick up at the local mall. Price does not matter. Any ideas on where to go, or cool internet sites to buy from?? Id even make it myself, but would need neat ideas and or directions on how to do it. Thanks a bunch!

We know that the word Jeep, referring to the vehicle, is not acceptable. However, he is using it in the sense of Eugene the Jeep from the comic strip Popeye. I think that this is a proper name and should not be used. If there was a definition of Jeep, in terms of the creature, then I would accept it. Please cast your vote for who is right. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone remembers an old cartoon that used to play on tv around halloween time every year back in the 90's. I dont remember a whole lot of it except that it was about a group of friends and i think one of the main characters was a girl, and one of their friends who's a guy gets kidnapped by a guy who lives in a big creepy castle or mansion and when they find him he's turned to stone and i think has water coming out of his mouth...i know it sounds really weird but i used to watch it every year and for the life of me i cant think what its called. i know its a very vague description but its all i remember and i'd be very grateful to anyone who can help...thanks!
