A MESSAGE AHEAD OF IT’S TIME; was POPEYE suppose to be the perfect vegitarian?
besides squishing it out of a can. he eats spinach in just about every thing pies sandwiches etc...
he can lift heavy objects kick major @ss and thinks faster on his toes.
while WIMPY on the other hand is a burger munching weakling.
who seems unaware of the world crashing in around him if a "hamburger" is at hand
but also cowers at the first sign of danger. and the most gullible in the gang he's often the first one to fall for a trap.
the only reason BRUITS can keep up with him is probably due to an olive rich diet.
and his Greek bloodline with more than three thousand years of deceptive thinking embedded into his genetic make up.
what do you think.
I AM what I AM and that is all that I AM. How about you?
Popeye is a drug Addict, who’s drug of choice is spinach.
Think about it, when he takes a hit, he suddenly becomes as if he doesn’t feel pain and can perform super human things. When it wears off he is suddenly weakened and cannot manage without it until his next hit.
Wimpy is a laid back dude who prevents stress by letting the world worry about itself and simply concerns himself with his one passion Hamburgers.
Olive Oil is suffers from anorexia and is probably bulimic and is also a sex addict moving from guy to guy who can take care of her current cravings.
And Bruits is just a steroid pumped gym rat how suffers from serious roid rage and goes on tangents over and over again because he can’t help himself.
LOL
Sailors can not be "vegetarians"
To not eat right causes "Scurvy."
I am who I am, and who I am is
Popeye the Sailor Man, and whoever
messes with my Olive, will get my can
of spinach up-side their head. <}%})
Popeye also ate robustly. He even out ate Brutus. Spinach, which Brutus wouldn’t touch, gave Popeye strength. In many of the stories others who also ate spinach were similarly endowed. The idea was to get kids to eat their spinach. It was one of the first market ploys that ever reached the icon status.
…what an ingenious, creative and foretelling concept - agree and thanks for sharing…
