Cartoons/comics to movies. So movie makers know theres big $ in these types of movies. Some of the earliest ones that i remember are, Popeye, D*ck tracey and he-man. Since then, theres been so many: fat Albert, the X-men, Garfield, Iron man, Inspector gadget, way too many to list. Im always excited to see some of my childhood cartoons come to life. So no we have a Wonder woman, Captain america and a Thor coming soon. Theres not much left to work with. What do u think they should make next? Voltron? Thundercats? Or how bout the Jetsons!? And who do u think should play the characters maybe.

Hi im going to a theme park and im on my period. its my 5th period and theres a ride there where you get wet. Its not a water slide its called "Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges" So its more like a log flume. Im wondering is i should where a tampon or if im good with a pad. I am thinking so, in the last 12 years, I can't think of any movies that Robin Williams has made for the Disney Company. And I will stand corrected if I am proveen wrong, that he has done another film for Disney in that time, that I am not thinking of. Flubber came out in 1997, and Old Dogs was just recently released. And I know that this is not his first ever film for Disney, since he did a voice role for Aladdin, and reprised the role for Aladdin and the King of thieves. And I know that Robin Williams has made a lot of movies, since he made his first film role in 1980's Popeye. But that is not my question. And since we are on the subject of Robin Williams, how many movies has he made since his first film role, and please exclude any direct to video releases. Like the 3rd Aladdin movie.

OK so we are not getting an Express Pass and are going Friday, March 18, 2011 to Universal Studios Florida and the next day we are going to Islands of Adventure. I want to ride all of the following:

Yesterdays news was about Spinach containing E Coli bacteria, which can be deadly....So....what do we do, not eat spinach ever again? Not all of us are like Popeye, but does this scare bother you; will it affect all our other veggies or fruits, the stuff we're supposed to eat?
Actually, I could take or leave Spinach...but I did enjoy a good spinach salad, with hard boiled eggs!

On Cartoon Planet they would show classic cartoons mostly Looney Tunes, Popeye, or MGM cartoons. And in between the cartoons, & the commercials they would have skits and songs performed by Space Ghost, Zorak, & yours truly.

Do they have any show on CN that might be similar?
Or are we gonna have to get Cartoon Planet back on TV again?

I have noticed an awful lot of parents complaining to television shows that shows are too violent and that their children shouldn't be seeing it. There are even studies on how seeing too much violence can contribute to delinquency and that violence should be removed from day time programming. there is also a noticeable movement to stop spanking children (i'm fine with that one i would spank mine but im not telling anyone else how to raise their kid- end of story and i would expect the same respect from that person) because its abuse and that it teaches children violence. The question i am asking is that children form the 1930's grew up on stuff like popeye the sailor man and bugs bunny that has plenty of violence twice as much violence than the stuff the children of today are raised on (they are expected to watch Barney and the Backyardigans). The children of the latter day were spanked ,watched violent television, and a lot of their mothers worked outside the home too (for middle class and poor children as well as minority children). How come they (who grew up on violent television and were spanked) turned out better with better grades and being more responsible than we are today even though their mothers and fathers did everything that psychiatrists said you should not do to a child and how come all off today's children are turning into delinquents even though today's children (if you go to walmart you will know what i am talking about) are turning out so wrong even though we are doing everything psychiatrist said we should do. What do you think we should do. Is this turning into a social problem and what can we learn for the parents of yesterday and to make todays children more responsible and more disciplined.
By the way the reason I am putting this is this particular section is because if i put it in the pregnancy and parenting section the mothers usually get defensive and I am told i am uneducated. Also you guys have more interesting debates than people on other sections. But really what do you think is the problem and what can we do about it? Best answer gets ten points.
Oh yeah and I didn't mean all children when i made the delinquent remark all i am saying is that a lot of today's children are turning out horribly wrong.

Hi Guys i work in a call center order line, which i don't mind, i have worked in various call centers in places like these they use what is called a system on the computers, generally they can be used but some i have used have differed from others not in content (there basically simple order entry) but in Speeds and variety of errors, which are not just stressful but not very pleasant for the customer either, after many years in the Great Words of Popeye the Sailor Enoufsk is Enoufsk.. if anyone knows how i would go about making one myself, i dont mean as in explain the complicated process, just like what ill need to research or even just what its called, i was thinking Systems Analysis and Design, but thats why u guys are here :D, a Wealth of Good Chaps and Chap'ettes
Obviously i know it takes Years to be able to do this, and i know a Uni would be a good idea, (i did try for a HND in I.T but had to drop out due to an unavoidable situation)...

what i was pondering is that all the information (not exp) knowledge is on the Information Super Highway :D.. this way i could at least go at my own pace, if it takes 25 years so be it..my main reason for doing this is not for commercial value. i just love to Learn and i have always wanted to be to a PC what a good mechanic is to a car

i grew up watching popeye, bugs bunny, flintstones, jetsons, scooby, pink panther, woody woodpecker, tom & jerry, and many other timeless classics. they used to be on every saturday morning, now they are never played. they seem to have been replaced with all this computerized anime junk that aren't entertaining and just don't have the same feel to them as the oldies. i heard somewhere that they banned these cartoons because they weren't PC. if that's true then we have gone waaaay overboard. does anyone miss those great oldies or am i just an old geezer??
isn't it ashame that cartoonms made 50 to 70 years ago are more entertaining than cartoons made last week?
